Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in California and federal wage and hour laws, including class actions, and will possess excellent writing, communication, and client interaction skills. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend wage and hour litigation cases, focusing on class actions.
• Interpret and apply California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal and rest period regulations.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests and motions with limited supervision.
• Conduct depositions and handle discovery-related motions.
• Develop and execute comprehensive discovery plans.
• Draft and oppose motions for class certification in wage and hour cases.
• Interface with clients to provide strategic legal advice and maintain professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, ensuring thorough follow-through.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in wage and hour litigation, with a preference for class action experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of California and federal wage and hour laws.
• Proven experience preparing and responding to written discovery in wage and hour cases.
• Prior experience with depositions and discovery-related motions.
• Strong track record in developing and executing discovery plans.
• Experience in drafting and opposing class certification motions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
