Duties:

• Advise clients on legal rights and prepare related legal documents
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings, providing guidance and strategic advice
• Manage court appearances, and trials, draft legal motions, and conduct witness interviews
• Perform comprehensive legal research and analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents
• Maintain and organize a caseload of criminal defense matters
• Offer legal analysis to clients, outlining potential benefits or outcomes of cases
• Gather supporting evidence for defense strategies or counter the prosecution’s claims
• Prepare clients for depositions and consult with key witnesses and experts to build strong case strategies

Requirements:

• Proven interest in Criminal Defense law demonstrated through clinics, internships, or volunteer experience
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree
• Active Bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered)
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and contribute to case strategies
• Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Experience in case management software (preferred)

Education:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission or pending admission
