Job Overview: A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Bankruptcy Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be pivotal in handling various creditors' rights and commercial loan transactional matters, including complex Chapter 11 cases, reorganizations, and commercial loan workouts.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee complex Chapter 11 cases and reorganizations.
  • Handle commercial loan workouts, documentation, and collections.
  • Interact extensively with clients, providing guidance and support throughout legal proceedings.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding lending laws and regulations.
  • Assume significant responsibility for clients, including first-chairing projects and leading legal teams.
  • Utilize strong writing ability and analytical skills to prepare legal documents and arguments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, focusing on bankruptcy and creditors' rights.
  • Proven track record of handling complex Chapter 11 cases and commercial loan workouts.
  • Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation and lending laws/regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with clients and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and aptitude for business generation.
  • Experience first-chairing projects and assuming significant responsibility for clients.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
