A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team in Reston, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in family law cases, providing legal advice and guidance throughout the litigation process, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients. Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance throughout the litigation process.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare cases for trial.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to gather necessary information for cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact ongoing cases.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case files.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Litigation Attorney, preferably with a focus on family law.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to litigation.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice law in Virginia.
