Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Manage a caseload from inception through resolution, including court appearances and trials.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other attorneys to develop case strategies.
  • Prepare and present oral arguments and represent clients in court hearings.
  • Assist with appellate work, including researching and writing briefs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal precedents, statutes, and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience; defense experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in managing a case file from start to finish.
  • Admission to practice law in Florida.
  • Strong experience in medical malpractice, premises liability, insurance defense, and appeals.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Skills

  • Strong research and writing abilities, particularly for appellate work.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
