Job Overview

A leading law firm is currently seeking a mid to senior-level associate with 3+ years of experience in employment counseling. The role will involve supporting global and cross-border employment matters. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in international counseling, with frequent interaction across the firm's global employment practice. Responsibilities include advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, reductions in force, employee terminations, restrictive covenants, employee mobility, and providing guidance to emerging companies on employment law matters. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.

Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Advise on reductions in force, employee terminations, and other workforce-related matters.
  • Draft restrictive covenants and provide guidance on employee mobility.
  • Advise and counsel emerging companies on all aspects of employment law.
  • Collaborate with various offices in the global employment practice.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).
  • Experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in teams.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying.
