Personal Injury Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury cases, handling litigation in state and federal courts.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions as part of the litigation process.
• Provide strategic legal advice and support to clients throughout the case lifecycle.
• Prepare cases for trial, including gathering evidence and building case strategies.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Florida law and federal court procedures.
• Admission to the Florida Bar, in good standing.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Federal clerkship experience, law review, or graduation from a top-tier law firm is a plus.
• Background in federal maritime law is a bonus but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and good-standing membership with the Florida State Bar.
