Job Title: Environmental Attorney

Job Location: Boston, MA

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Environmental Attorney with a strong background in complex litigation. The firm’s Environmental practice needs an attorney to support multi-party litigation, focusing on legal research, discovery, and strategic collaboration. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a demonstrated ability in legal writing. While environmental experience, specifically with CERCLA, is preferred, it is not a requirement for this position.

Duties:

  • Manage and support complex multi-party litigation matters, including propounding and responding to discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs, motions, and other essential documents.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and the broader litigation team to contribute to overall litigation strategy.
  • Provide insight and support on legal issues and case strategy development.
  • Maintain a minimum of 1,000 billable hours per year, with flexibility in working hours and location.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on complex case handling.
  • Exceptional written communication and legal drafting skills.
  • Experience in environmental law, particularly CERCLA, is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to MA State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the MA State Bar(or ability to be admitted to the Bar of the relevant jurisdiction).

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using legal software and technology tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
