The ideal candidate will have at least three years of broad-based experience and provide expert guidance on various aspects of the employment relationship.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support to clients on employment law issues related to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions.
  • Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, including employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and severance agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment law to ensure accurate and current advice.
  • Represent clients in employment-related disputes and litigation, including arbitration and mediation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage and mitigate employment-related risks for clients.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Assist in the training and developing junior attorneys and legal staff on employment law matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of broad-based employment law counseling experience.
  • Proven record of providing legal support in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in employment law and corporate transactions.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
