A law firm seeks an experienced Franchise Of Counsel to join its Franchise & Distribution practice group. This role involves advising clients on complex franchise regulatory matters, transactional support, and compliance across diverse industries, with options for remote work or an office-based position in Boston.

Duties

  • Prepare, review, and manage franchise agreements and regulatory filings, including franchise disclosure documents.
  • Provide strategic counsel on franchise compliance and regulatory issues in various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Advise both domestic and international clients on franchise laws and operational compliance.
  • Support a wide range of clients, including start-ups, private equity groups, and established franchise brands, with tailored legal solutions.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled attorneys to deliver comprehensive legal strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in franchise transactional and regulatory matters.
  • Active State Bar admission in Massachusetts or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Proven expertise in drafting franchise documentation and handling regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with a business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.
