Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee individual case portfolios from initiation to resolution.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to strategize and handle complex legal matters.
  • Report to clients and carriers regarding case progress and developments.
  • Appear in court for conferences, motions, and hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with discovery requirements.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
  • Coordinate medical examinations related to cases.
  • Prepare and file legal motions and documents.
  • Handle construction litigation cases involving premises, product, and general liability.
  • Address Labor Law cases, specifically those involving Sections 240(1) and 241(6).
  • Resolve contractual indemnification issues between parties.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel and advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • New York Bar admission is required; admission to New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania Bars is a plus.
  • Substantial experience in construction litigation, particularly in defense work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Labor Law depositions.
  • Proven track record in handling Labor Law Sections 240(1) and 241(6) cases and contractual indemnification issues.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and effectively.
  • High level of professionalism and client-focused approach.

Education:
