A law firm in Toms River, NJ, is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to manage a diverse caseload of employment litigation matters. The ideal candidate will represent clients in various legal forums, collaborate with support staff on litigation strategies, and contribute to firm growth through networking and expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and whistleblower claims.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with support staff in developing effective and efficient litigation strategies.
  • Oversee case-related resources and timelines to ensure efficient case progression.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with clients by providing regular updates and empathetic guidance.
  • Stay informed about developments in employment law, industry trends, and precedents to enhance case strategies and client representation.
  • Actively contribute to firm expansion by identifying growth opportunities and participating in networking events to showcase expertise.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the New Jersey Bar, in good standing; admissions to the New York or Pennsylvania Bars are a plus.
  • 4-7 years of litigation experience, with at least 2 years focused on employment law.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in independently managing all stages of litigation, from initiation to resolution.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
