A law firm seeks a bilingual Associate Attorney fluent in Mandarin to join its team in Chicago, IL. This position is ideal for an attorney with at least two years of experience practicing law in the U.S. The role involves working on a variety of legal matters while effectively communicating with Mandarin-speaking clients. Duties

• Provide legal counsel and representation in a wide range of legal matters, ensuring high-quality service for Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to manage complex legal issues and deliver client-focused solutions.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, ensuring legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
• Stay current on legal developments relevant to the practice areas involved.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active law license to practice in Illinois or licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction with a willingness to take the Illinois Bar or transfer to Illinois.
• Minimum of two years of experience practicing law in the U.S.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in Illinois or eligible to transfer bar admission to Illinois.
