Civil Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Cleveland is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with excellent research and writing skills, active Ohio law license, and strong oral advocacy abilities. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience practicing in state and federal courts, with proficiency in conducting discovery, depositions, expert witness management, and motion practice.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Investigate claims and gather evidence.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
• Manage expert witnesses and interact with them effectively.
• Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Ohio law license.
• 1-5 years of experience practicing in state and federal courts.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy abilities.
• Experience conducting discovery and depositions.
• Familiarity with managing expert witnesses.
• Proficiency in motion practice.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
