A law firm seeks a talented attorney to join its expanding Wage & Hour Litigation team in Denver. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigator with a strong background in wage and hour law. The firm is looking for an associate or of counsel with 4+ years of experience to take on client-facing work and manage cases from start to finish. Non-partner track candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in wage and hour class and collective action claims under state and federal laws, including the Colorado Wage Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
  • Interpret and apply regulations, rules, and guidance materials from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division.
  • Draft initial pleadings, responses to discovery, and motions, including motions to decertify a conditional class.
  • Take and defend depositions in complex wage and hour litigation.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, balancing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide counsel to clients regarding compliance, risk management, and legal strategy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in wage and hour litigation, with a focus on class and collective action claims.
  • Strong experience interpreting and applying federal and state wage and hour regulations.
  • Proven ability to draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, and motions.
  • Skilled in taking and defending depositions.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload and deliver high-quality results on tight deadlines.
  • Admission to the Colorado Bar is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar.

  • Experience managing client relationships and providing strategic legal counsel.
