A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a talented and dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of civil litigation experience, superior academic credentials, and excellent writing and communication skills. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required. This role involves representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, conducting thorough legal research, drafting legal documents, and collaborating with colleagues to develop effective legal strategies.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters in state and federal courts.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies tailored to clients' needs.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing them with updates and legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Stay current with developments in civil litigation and relevant case law.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Superior academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and professionalism.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with superior academic credentials.

 

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
