Duties:

• Review new case files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations
• Identify pleading requirements and assign tasks to paralegals as necessary
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, managing the document production process
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing comprehensive reports
• Negotiate settlements and prepare cases for trial as needed
• Communicate regularly with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and organization while managing multiple tasks
• Develop and nurture relationships with clients and colleagues through effective communication

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Georgia
• 1-5 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for candidates with insurance defense experience
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn database management systems
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse group of clients and team members
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Georgia State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

• Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters with minimal supervision
• Experience in managing discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
