The Student Services and Special Education Associate Attorney will play a vital role in the firm's practice, engaging with K-12 schools and community colleges, assisting clients in the individualized education program process, presenting workshops, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, along with membership in the State Bar of California.

Duties:

  • Build and maintain client relationships with K-12 schools and community colleges.
  • Assist clients in the individualized education program process.
  • Present workshops on special education law and related topics.
  • Review and revise policies and procedures for educational institutions.
  • Respond to state and federal compliance complaints.
  • Represent clients in administrative due process hearings.

Requirements:

  • Membership in the State Bar of California.
  • Experience or interest in special education law.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
