Job Title: Equipment Finance Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Charlotte, NC, seeks a skilled transactional attorney to join its growing Equipment Finance Team. This role focuses on structuring and negotiating various equipment finance transactions, including loans, leases, credit facilities, securitizations, and purchase-and-sale agreements, with a particular emphasis on transportation equipment such as aircraft and rail. The position offers the opportunity to work with financial institutions, investment firms, lenders, borrowers, lessors, and lessees in a dynamic and collaborative legal environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in equipment finance transactions, including direct loans, leases, and securitizations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for credit facilities and purchase-and-sale transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel on transactions involving transportation equipment, including aircraft and rail assets.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address complex legal and financial matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Significant transactional experience in equipment finance, general finance, or corporate transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in transactional law with an emphasis on finance and equipment transactions.
