Duties:

• Review new cases to establish clear action plans, budgets, and strategic recommendations.
• Analyze pleading requirements and assign tasks to support staff as needed.
• Draft and manage discovery responses, including overseeing document production processes.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery-related events, providing detailed and comprehensive reports.
• Engage in settlement negotiations, manage settlement authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with legal assistants and paralegals to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-5 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to case management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and staff.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn new systems and technologies, including database management tools.
