Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all elements of case work-up and trial preparation.
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.
  • Provide practical advice on privacy laws and incident response matters.
  • Handle privacy-related litigation and disputes with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal teams on complex tech transactions and data privacy issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and international privacy laws.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, arbitrations, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel on emerging issues in data privacy and security.
  • Work closely with clients to manage incident response and mitigation efforts.
  • Participate in developing policies, procedures, and best practices for data security and privacy compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant litigation experience, including case management and trial preparation.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, with experience drafting a variety of legal documents.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and international privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience advising clients on data breach incident response.
  • Ability to provide practical legal advice tailored to client needs.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Proven track record of superior communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for immediate client interaction and relationship management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Privacy litigation experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a law firm or a similar professional environment is a plus.

Educational Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar, or ability to be admitted to practice in California.

Certifications:
