Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team. Job Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
• Effectively communicating, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
• Producing deliverables, answering phone calls, and responding to correspondence promptly
• Providing timely, accurate, and high-quality work product
• Meeting deadlines, exceeding expectations, and performing required work duties
• Building and maintaining positive work relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders
• Adhering to all firm policies and practices
• Engaging in both physical and sedentary activities as required by the role

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney
• Proven experience drafting litigation documents such as motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions
• Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated business judgment and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in legal research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking
• Ability to influence others and effectively present persuasive arguments
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Illinois Bar is required
