Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience and be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle defense of first-party property damage lawsuits.
• Manage a high volume of cases efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Assist senior attorneys in trial preparation and strategy.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.
• Adhere to firm billing and reporting guidelines.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar (active and in good standing).
• 1+ years of litigation experience, preferably handling first-party property damage cases.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
