A law firm seeks a talented attorney with experience in commercial real estate law to join its Denver office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with clients from various industries on national and international real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, borrower-side financing, leasing, and general transactional due diligence. The successful candidate will be able to manage and lead complex real estate deals while mentoring junior associates and contributing to a dynamic team.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and multi-site purchases or sales.
  • Draft and negotiate key transactional documents and manage the overall deal process.
  • Conduct title and survey reviews, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Perform due diligence on real estate transactions, managing all necessary research and assessments.
  • Take primary responsibility for drafting foundational documents and managing transaction flow.
  • Oversee and mentor junior associates, providing guidance on transaction management and document preparation.
  • Collaborate with clients, underwriters, and financial institutions to ensure smooth execution of deals.
  • Handle complex real estate transactions across various property types, including multifamily, logistics, industrial, and retail.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying and solving problems as they arise during transactions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial real estate law, particularly in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing.
  • Experience managing complex real estate transactions and drafting key legal documents.
  • Proven ability to take the lead role in transactions, including direct negotiation of terms and document preparation.
  • Strong academic background with excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and mentor junior associates.
  • Admission or eligibility for admission to the Colorado Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in Colorado (or eligible for admission).

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing, and leasing.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with title, survey, and due diligence processes.
  • Ability to take a leadership role in managing transactions and mentoring junior associates.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
