Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Senior Real Estate Closing Attorney. This position will involve managing various aspects of real estate transactions, including conducting closings, reviewing titles, and ensuring the smooth execution of related legal documentation. The ideal candidate will be adept at working with Spanish-speaking clients and will receive guidance in refining their expertise on settlement documents and closing procedures.

Duties:

  • Oversee and conduct real estate closings, both in-office and off-site ("travel closings").
  • Review title examinations, and identify and resolve title issues.
  • Sign checks and release funds via wire transfers.
  • Prepare legal documents ensuring all settlement requirements are met and legally sound.
  • Guide operations staff on legal processes related to real estate transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients as the closing attorney.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar with good standing.
  • Certification as a Notary Public.
  • Ability to explain complex real estate settlement documents in layman's terms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • High attention to detail, with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Background check required for employment.

Education:

  • Four-year undergraduate degree.
  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar membership.
  • Notary Public certification.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate closing procedures and legal documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus for working with Spanish-speaking clients.
