Mid-Level Litigation And Dispute Resolution Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation and Dispute Resolution Associate Attorney to join their team in Basking Ridge, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation and dispute resolution, specifically within various insurance lines of coverage, and demonstrate strong writing, research, and analytical skills. This role involves working on complex cases in state and federal courts and/or private arbitration and participating in marketing and thought leadership initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle complex litigation and dispute resolution matters involving insurance lines such as financial institutions, directors & officers liability, management liability, professional liability, bank liability, crime, fidelity, product recall, miscellaneous errors & omissions, political risk, employment practices, and similar coverage lines.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts and/or private arbitration proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to effectively manage and resolve disputes.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and preparation.
• Assist in the development and execution of marketing and thought leadership initiatives, including writing practice-related publications and participating in professional associations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, or California.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution, preferably within the specified insurance lines.
• Proven experience in state and federal courts and/or private arbitration.

Certifications

• Admitted to the bar in at least one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, or California.
