A law firm in Sunny Isles Beach, FL, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of legal experience, with proficiency in managing a large caseload and all aspects of the trial process. This role requires excellent time management, interpersonal skills, and persuasive writing and verbal communication abilities. The Senior Attorney will perform a wide range of legal services, serve as the principal contact between the firm and its clients, and may engage in client prospecting through various marketing and networking activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large caseload and handle all aspects of the trial process, including drafting pleadings, motions, notices, and working toward resolution.
  • Perform legal research and draft agreements, resolutions, memos, motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates.
  • Oversee and analyze discovery and documents provided by parties.
  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and serve as the principal contact between the firm and its clients.
  • Prospect for new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles, and speaking engagements as delegated by the Partners.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, mediations, and arbitration hearings.
  • Stay updated on changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws.
  • Prepare necessary documents such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Perform research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings.
  • Provide trial, mediation, and arbitration representation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an attorney.
  • Proven experience managing a large caseload and all aspects of the trial process.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasive writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Active member in good standing with local and State Bar associations.
  • Trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience.

Education:

  • Four-year bachelor's degree.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar Association.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
