A law firm seeks an experienced securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Los Angeles. This is a professional-track (non-partnership) position designed for a lawyer with expertise in managing structured securities offerings, particularly within commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions, providing high-quality representation for clients such as REITs, public and private companies, and institutional investors.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage structured securities offerings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and alignment with client goals.
  • Represent clients in a broad spectrum of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and property development.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance on real estate finance and the structuring of investment portfolios.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, partners, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate successful transaction execution.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support the structuring and execution of complex financial transactions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in structured securities offerings, with a strong focus on commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices for structuring real estate investment transactions.
  • Prior experience with a prominent law firm, preferably within the AmLaw 100.
  • Admission to practice law in California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical abilities and excellent written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and solid business judgment.
  • Proficient organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
