Junior to Mid-Level General Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level General Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their West Palm Beach, FL team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in commercial litigation, exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, and a strategic and analytical mindset. This role requires someone who can work independently and collaboratively within a cohesive team. The candidate must also be admitted to The Florida Bar or eligible for admission shortly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research on complex and challenging legal and factual issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Provide legal analysis and opinions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Manage case files and documentation efficiently and accurately.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Admitted to The Florida Bar or eligible for admission soon.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting pleadings and legal papers for complex legal issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to The Florida Bar or pending eligibility for admission.
