A reputable law firm is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Real Estate Department in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in transactional real estate, particularly in negotiating and drafting complex commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, and various real estate development contracts. Duties

  • Negotiate and draft complex commercial leases for landlords and tenants.
  • Negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements and related documents for both sellers and buyers.
  • Represent developers in negotiating and drafting agreements for real estate developments.
  • Represent borrowers in mortgage loan transactions.
  • Manage real estate due diligence for sale, purchase, financing, and corporate transactions involving real estate.
  • Oversee the closing of real estate sale, purchase, and financing transactions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of transactional real estate experience with a demonstrated ability to independently handle core real estate tasks.
  • Significant experience in negotiating and drafting complex commercial leases.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent academic background.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Ability to promptly gain admission to the Minnesota Bar.

Skills

  • Expertise in transactional real estate matters, including commercial leasing, purchase and sale agreements, and real estate development.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage and oversee real estate transactions from start to finish.
