Junior Associate/ Mid-Level Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of transactional tax experience to primarily support the Energy & Infrastructure group. The ideal candidate will assist in financing renewable energy assets and monetizing tax credits, working closely with developers, sponsors, and investors to develop wind, solar, and other renewable energy projects.

Duties:

• Provide legal support for financing renewable energy assets and tax equity financings.
• Assist in the structuring and negotiation of renewable energy transactions.
• Conduct legal research on tax aspects of renewable energy projects.
• Draft and review legal documents related to renewable energy transactions.
• Collaborate with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project development.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of transactional tax experience, preferably in a large law firm setting.
• Focus on tax aspects of renewable energy transactions, including tax equity financings and M&A.
• Experience in partnership tax or tax credit structuring, with a keen interest in renewable energy.
• Membership to the NY State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Membership to the NY State Bar.
