Job Title: Environmental Law Partner (On Behalf of a Law Firm)

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm based in Miami, FL is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Law Partner. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in handling environmental transactional, regulatory compliance, and permitting matters. This role involves providing expert legal advice, managing complex environmental projects, and leading regulatory cases. Duties:

  • Lead and manage environmental regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Provide legal support for environmental transactions, including due diligence and environmental liability assessments.
  • Handle permitting processes related to wetlands, coastal development, air quality, and hazardous materials contamination.
  • Advise on complex land use projects and environmental assessments.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Represent clients in environmental enforcement cases before federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Provide leadership on policy matters and strategic planning related to environmental law.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in environmental law, particularly in transactional, compliance, and regulatory issues.
  • Proven track record in environmental permitting, assessment, and liability.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex land use and hazardous materials contamination cases.
  • Familiarity with wetlands and coastal permitting procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of air quality regulations and hazardous materials laws.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Florida or eligibility to obtain membership.
  • Specialized certifications in environmental law or regulatory compliance are a plus.
