Job Overview
A prominent law firm based in Boston, MA is currently looking for an experienced insurance coverage attorney to join their team. This is a full-time, partnership-track position that focuses on representing policyholders or insurers in both first- and third-party coverage disputes. The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of relevant experience, strong litigation skills, and the ability to analyze and interpret complex insurance policies. Leadership, initiative, and the ability to manage client relationships are highly valued.

Duties

• Provide expert counsel on insurance coverage issues for both policyholders and insurers
• Draft, review, and analyze insurance policies and coverage terms
• Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes, including litigation when necessary
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies
• Advise clients on risk management and policy interpretation
• Contribute to the firm's pro bono initiatives
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
• Lead and manage case teams as needed

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage law, with a focus on policyholder or insurer representation
• Demonstrated litigation experience, particularly in the insurance industry
• Strong analytical and writing abilities
• Exceptional communication skills and client management experience
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A willingness to take initiative and show leadership in practice areas
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality legal services

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Strong academic record

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying, or must be able to obtain licensure within one year of starting the role
