A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its expanding civil litigation team. The ideal candidate will be involved in a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on probate and real property cases. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with up to 5 years of experience who is eager to take on a dynamic caseload and contribute to the firm’s growth. The role offers the chance to engage in both in-person and remote proceedings while honing your legal skills.

Duties

  • Handle probate and real property litigation matters from start to finish.
  • Participate in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Attend hearings both in-person and via Zoom, ensuring full legal representation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, motions, and client communications.
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and services to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to managing cases and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with probate and real property litigation experience being preferred.
  • Familiarity with discovery processes, including preparing and responding to discovery requests.
  • Ability to attend hearings and manage cases in both in-person and remote settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-starter who is motivated to take on new responsibilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible for admission).
