IP Litigation Associate

Job Overview
A leading law firm is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic IP Litigation Associate to join its growing Intellectual Property Litigation group in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in complex intellectual property litigation, including federal court proceedings or matters before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). Candidates should have excellent writing skills, strong academic credentials, and experience in taking and defending depositions.

Duties

• Represent clients in complex IP litigation matters, including cases before federal courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with attention to detail and clarity.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on intellectual property issues, including patent, trademark, and trade secret disputes.
• Take and defend depositions, and participate in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
• Manage case timelines, discovery, and pretrial preparations.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses, consultants, and other professionals involved in the litigation process.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in complex intellectual property litigation, with experience in federal courts or before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex cases.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar membership in good standing for the jurisdiction of practice (or eligibility to obtain).
