Job Overview: A law firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of federal energy regulatory experience. The ideal candidate should have experience practicing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), particularly in power and/or natural gas, gained from a national or international firm.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis about federal energy regulatory matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on regulatory compliance and strategy in the energy sector.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex regulatory matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal energy regulatory law.
  • Proven experience practicing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in the energy sector.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility for admission by waiver.
