Job Overview: A prominent law firm is looking for an experienced Senior Leasing Attorney to join its Real Estate Group. This role is ideal for a candidate with extensive expertise in handling commercial leases. The firm offers a supportive environment for career growth while engaging in meaningful legal work.

Duties:

  • Serve as the primary attorney responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related documents, including term sheets, letters of intent, work letters, and SNDAs.
  • Oversee and mentor junior leasing attorneys.
  • Engage directly with clients, opposing counsel, brokers, and other relevant parties.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with clients, attorneys, and business professionals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of legal services and correspondence.
  • Maintain compliance with all firm policies and practices.
  • Participate in both virtual and in-person meetings and conference calls.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements.
  • Admission to practice law in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the Texas Bar.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the commercial leasing market, including current trends and practices.
  • Experience with diverse property types, including office, retail, industrial, and life science leases.
  • Proven track record of representing landlords effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
