A law firm seeks an enthusiastic Associate Attorney to join its fast-paced family law practice in Stockton, CA. Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of family law matters, ensuring thorough case preparation and client communication.
  • Become proficient in the procedures, forms, and filing deadlines specific to family law cases.
  • Handle courtroom appearances and represent clients effectively in legal proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, draft documents, and complete discovery as needed for each case.
  • Collaborate with team members, providing support on case management and client interactions.
  • Organize and maintain client files and related case documents.
  • Utilize legal and office software, including Word, Outlook, and other programs, with training on LawYaw, Clio, and GoTo as needed.

Requirements:

  • Active California Bar License.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to work in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (required).

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California (required).
  • California Bar Number (required).
