A law firm in Austin, TX is seeking a Real Estate Counsel with a strong interest in representing prominent renewable energy clients in a variety of real property development matters. The ideal candidate must possess outstanding writing and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Job Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on real estate transactions related to renewable energy development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate agreements, including purchase agreements, leases, easements, and development agreements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence reviews, including title examinations, surveys, and environmental assessments.
  • Advise on zoning regulations, land use issues, and permitting requirements affecting real estate projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex real estate issues efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing real estate law, with a focus on title matters for renewable energy development.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance principles and project financing structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and transactions concurrently.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Real Estate Law or Energy Law from a recognized legal association or institution.
