Workers Compensation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Savannah, GA, is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to manage and advocate for clients through the complexities of workers' compensation claims. The ideal candidate will be proficient in case management, client communication, and legal analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:

• Open new client files and initiate initial client contact; maintain regular communication with clients throughout the case.
• Conduct a thorough investigation of each case, including gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents; enter data into case management systems.
• Verify insurance coverage and liability issues; maintain ongoing communication with insurance companies.
• Manage clients' medical care, coordinate appointments, and explain procedures and documentation.
• Continuously monitor case status, review medical records, and prepare files for demand writers.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and filed appropriately.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience, specifically in Worker's Compensation law.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive client relationships and collaborate with colleagues and vendors.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable with extended periods of phone-based client interaction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity.
• Basic medical and insurance terminology knowledge is preferred; fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university.
• Admission to the State Bar of Georgia.
