Job Overview

A prominent law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded Global Finance group. This position offers an opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions in the securitization and structured finance sector, with a focus on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). The successful candidate will contribute to a practice that supports a diverse array of clients, including leading asset managers, equity investors, and major financial institutions.

Duties

• Assist in structuring, drafting, and negotiating securitization and structured finance transactions.
• Work collaboratively on matters related to Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs).
• Handle transactional matters involving private credit, fund finance, NAV-based facilities, and subscription line credit facilities.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support complex financial transactions.
• Liaise with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to manage deal execution efficiently.
• Stay updated on evolving regulations and industry practices in structured finance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of substantial experience in securitization and structured finance or general transactional law with an interest in the CLO space.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and execute sophisticated financial transactions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; DC Bar membership or eligibility preferred.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Capable of managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
• Proven interest in structured credit, private credit, or other relevant financial areas.
