A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team in Glen Allen, VA, focusing on medical malpractice and professional liability. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 1-5 years of litigation experience, particularly in medical malpractice, to take on significant case involvement and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. Duties:

• Handle medical malpractice cases from start to finish.
• Engage directly with clients, providing legal counsel and representation throughout the litigation process.
• Draft and review legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy, trial preparation, and negotiations.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on case law and applicable statutes.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, insurance adjusters, and expert witnesses.
• Manage a caseload, ensuring that deadlines and client expectations are met.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on medical malpractice preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Strong litigation skills, with the ability to take on both first- and second-chair responsibilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Education:
