In this role, you will be integral in supporting clients through their financial legal matters, particularly in the bankruptcy process. Duties:

  • Prepare and organize necessary legal documents for filing, adhering to established procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, offering clear explanations of legal processes.
  • Conduct research, retrieve, and update information in client case files.
  • Respond to client inquiries via email, phone, and text in a professional and timely manner.
  • Schedule hearings and resolutions, ensuring all dates and details are accurately logged.
  • Draft responses and electronically file documents when necessary.
  • Meet with clients both virtually and in-person for fact-finding and eligibility confirmation.
  • Attend court hearings as required and provide legal support throughout the process.
  • Quickly adapt to case management software and digital record-keeping systems.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the state bar and licensed to practice law.
  • Entry-level or experienced attorney with a preference for candidates with bankruptcy law experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Technologically proficient, especially with legal case management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership required.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to clients.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, handling high volumes of cases.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy law or consumer law is preferred.
  • Proficient in managing case files digitally and using relevant legal software tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
