A law firm in Westlake Village, CA, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney who excels in a courtroom setting and can independently manage a diverse portfolio of cases. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, providing strategic legal advice and representing clients in various legal proceedings. Position focuses on construction litigation, real estate litigation, and employment litigation. Candidates should have around 4+years of litigation including depositions and filing motions.  Candidates should want to do more. Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, preparation, and resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on litigation and dispute resolution matters.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement effective case strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive case files and ensure timely and accurate documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Proven track record of managing complex litigation cases independently.
  • 6+ years of litigation experience in areas such as employment defense, real estate, construction, and commercial law.
  • Strong advocacy skills with significant courtroom experience.
