Job Overview

A highly respected law firm is seeking a Resource Attorney to support its Life Sciences Partnering practice group. This non-billable role is focused on enhancing legal practice efficiency, maintaining internal resources, and contributing to legal education and innovation. The position is ideal for an experienced attorney who enjoys knowledge management, training, and the development of legal tools rather than direct client representation.

Location

Duties

  • Template & Precedent Management

    • Draft, annotate, enhance, and automate template documents and custom agreements

    • Curate and organize legal forms, precedents, and internal knowledge resources

  • Education & Training

    • Collaborate with the legal education team to develop and deliver internal training and educational content

  • Legal & Regulatory Updates

    • Monitor and summarize legal developments relevant to the life sciences industry (e.g., biotech, medtech, digital health)

    • Ensure practice resources remain current and compliant with industry changes

  • Thought Leadership

    • Create written content for conferences, presentations, internal teach-ins, and external publications

  • Attorney Support

    • Respond to internal requests for precedents, templates, and know-how materials

  • Innovation & Initiatives

    • Support knowledge management, practice innovation, and legal technology projects

  • Process Management

    • Coordinate resource review and contributions across legal practice groups and operational teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in life sciences commercial transactions or

  • At least 5 years of corporate or in-house experience in the life sciences sector

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in good standing (state-specific license not mandatory for this role)

  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities

  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and editing skills

  • High attention to detail, especially in document development and curation

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to propose and lead new initiatives
