Senior Personal Injury Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Personal Injury Attorney to join its dynamic team in Los Angeles. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on case strategy, litigation, and professional development, with less emphasis on routine tasks typically assigned to junior attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, including experience with depositions, court hearings, and mediations. As a Senior Attorney, you will receive mentorship from senior attorneys, participate in trial preparation, and contribute to focus groups and skill-building programs. Trial involvement is expected, and the firm offers substantial support, including the use of advanced AI technology to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury litigation matters, ensuring timely progress and effective resolution.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints and motions.
• Prepare and send meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes.
• Prepare clients for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Take and defend depositions throughout litigation.
• Respond to motions and handle dispositive motions as needed.
• Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings on behalf of clients.
• Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
• Supervise and direct investigations into all assigned litigation matters to support case strategy.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Personal Injury Law, with a focus on litigation and pre-litigation case management.
• Strong background in handling discovery, including written discovery and depositions.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.
• Experience with Worker's Compensation law is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
