A law firm seeks an experienced Healthcare Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Healthcare & Insurance Division in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role requires 3-6 years of experience in healthcare law, with a focus on regulatory and transactional matters involving healthcare providers, health plans, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, as well as PBMs and health information technology firms. The position offers the opportunity to develop a specialized practice, with a proven track record of producing successful young partners.

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare providers, health plans, PBMs, and pharmaceutical companies on regulatory compliance and transactional matters.
  • Represent clients in health law-related regulatory matters, including advising on healthcare regulations, health information technology, and managed care plans.
  • Draft and review contracts, including those involving healthcare providers, insurers, and technology companies.
  • Work on complex matters involving pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to shape legal strategies and solutions tailored to the healthcare sector.
  • Stay up to date on healthcare regulations and industry trends to provide strategic guidance to clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in healthcare law, including regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Experience advising healthcare providers, health plans, PBMs, or medical device companies.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, including those related to insurance, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide insightful legal advice.
  • Ability to handle complex legal and regulatory issues independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction or ability to waive into practice.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to advise clients on complex healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Experience in contract drafting, regulatory matters, and health law-related litigation is a plus.
