A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Associate Attorney, the ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload and interact directly with clients, while collaborating closely with the firm's Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. This role involves representing clients in removal proceedings, preparing various immigration applications, and presenting strategic legal solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explain immigration concepts and develop strategic solutions for clients.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a substantial caseload, including conducting client intakes at detention centers.
  • Prepare and review diverse immigration applications, including removal defense, family-based petitions, and other USCIS applications.
  • Present and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients and determine appropriate legal strategies.
  • Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
  • Provide comprehensive legal analysis to identify possible case benefits.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.
  • Preferably bilingual in Spanish.
  • Demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a record of advancing legal cases and effectively managing a caseload.
  • Utilize case management software (experience preferred).

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Proven experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases and demonstrate successful case management.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of immigration law and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in case management software (preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
