Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in Norwood, MA is seeking a full-time Associate Immigration Counsel to provide representation in immigration matters before federal agencies and state courts. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by assisting individuals and families in navigating complex immigration issues, including humanitarian relief and family-based petitions. The role involves direct client interaction, courtroom appearances, and collaboration with a dedicated legal team that prioritizes inclusive advocacy, particularly for LGBTQ+ clients and other underserved communities.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in hearings and proceedings before USCIS, EOIR, and state family courts

  • Manage a diverse caseload including asylum, SIJS, U & T visas, VAWA petitions, and naturalization

  • Provide legal support in related criminal and family law matters as needed

  • Draft legal filings, affidavits, and client correspondence

  • Conduct legal research and case analysis

  • Maintain detailed records using legal practice management tools

  • Communicate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders

  • Attend internal team meetings and contribute to firmwide knowledge sharing

  • Travel to court hearings and interviews when required

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law practice

  • Proficiency in managing sensitive, humanitarian-based immigration cases

  • Familiarity with USCIS, EOIR, and Massachusetts Probate and Family Court procedures

  • Fluency or advanced proficiency in Spanish or another relevant language preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of emotional intelligence and client-centered legal advocacy

  • Comfort with legal software such as Camp Legal, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Google Workspace

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Massachusetts
