A respected law firm in White Plains, NY, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Matrimonial Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will possess 7-10 years of hands-on experience in matrimonial law and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and to represent clients in a variety of matrimonial matters, including divorce, custody, and child support.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and other family law matters in Supreme Court, Family Court, and related proceedings.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs.
  • Manage cases through the litigation cycle, develop cost-effective strategies, and ensure timely progress.
  • Make appearances in various courts across the tri-state area.
  • Maintain a high caseload while effectively managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to support client needs.
  • Regularly communicate with clients, adversaries, court staff, and witnesses.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant changes in matrimonial and family law.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in matrimonial law or a related field.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the New York State Bar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a large volume of cases and court appearances.
  • Proven organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience representing clients in family law matters, particularly in Supreme Court and Family Court.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • New York State Bar Admission.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and legal research skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
